Varsity Suite
The Varsity Suite is the largest of our suites at our Madison WI Bed and Breakfast (550 square feet), boasting a fireplace, adjoining sunroom, and large dressing area. Beige and red colors, along with the fireplace, add a feeling of warmth and romance. The sunroom offers the perfect place to sit quietly and enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee or tea. Have a seat at the table if you need a place to do a bit of work or enjoy a snack before heading out to explore the best things to do in Madison. Historic UW yearbooks and pictures of UW Badger athletics create nostalgia and charm. The large spa bathroom features stunning black-and-white tile, a bubble tub, a shower with multi-head shower sprays, robes, and a pedestal sink. The small table near the sink holds an array of complimentary bath amenities. Use of stairs is required to access this suite.
Relaxing and comfortable stay. We just returned from a wonderful stay at The Buckingham Inn. The entire inn is beautifully decorated and inviting. The Varsity room was large, spotless and provided all the amenities needed with little extras included. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and sunroom which was the perfect spot to linger. Little things including ice, snacks, robes, and ease of communication show attention to detail. The inn is in a great location to explore all Madison and the surrounding area has to offer.

Mendota Suite
Book one of our most popular suites at our Bed and Breakfast in Madison, the Mendota Suite (350 square feet), with rich oak wood trim throughout. Lake Mendota, one of Madison’s two large lakes, is featured in this suite in pictures, on a wall map, and in whimsical décor accessories. The marine blue colors of the upholstered chair and the quilt on the king-size bed create a feeling of tranquility. Like the other guest suites, this one includes a table and chair set for checking email, playing a game, or enjoying a beverage. The vivid blue colors continue into the spectacular spa bathroom, featuring a bubble tub, a shower with multi-head sprays, and a pedestal sink. The Mendota Suite contains attractive features for those with physical disabilities or impaired mobility. There are two entrances to this suite, one of which is step-free. The bathroom has multiple assist bars and a step-free shower with a fold-down seat. See our Accessibility page for details.
Better than 5 stars! We recently stayed at The Buckingham Inn. First, it is located 1 block from Camp Randall Stadium, so five stars for the location. The pictures reflect the room perfectly. Stylish as well as comfortable. Another five stars. Breakfast was outstanding. Gourmet food at a B&B! Another five stars. If traveling to Madison, do yourself a favor and stay at The Buckingham Inn. You will be glad you did.

University Suite
Stepping into the University Suite (350 square feet), you will see iconic photos of UW-Madison campus buildings, including Memorial Union, Bascom Hall, the Red Gym, and Education Building. The oak mission-style king-size bed with soft and silky bedding offers a good night’s sleep and a relaxing place to rest. If you crave reading books, pick up one of the UW-Madison history books and have a seat in the comfortable recliner. The large spa bathroom is similar to all our suites at our Madison Bed and Breakfast, with a bubble tub, a shower with multi-head shower sprays, and a pedestal sink. There are various places to hang your robe or towel near the shower and tub while you indulge in true relaxation. A small table holds complimentary bath amenities. Use of stairs is required to access this suite. It’s the perfect oasis as your home base before heading out to discover all the best things to do in Madison!
Don’t miss staying here! Beautifully restored craftsman home. One of the best run B&B’s we have stayed at. The innkeepers are wonderful hosts that know how to respect your privacy and be very friendly and welcoming at the same time. Our room was immaculate. The bed was comfy and the breakfast delicious. I believe we have found our favorite accommodation in Madison. Highly recommended!
